
Actor Dalip Tahil, who has been a part of the Hindi film industry and television, was arrested on Sunday for driving under the influence of alcohol. A report in The Hindu states that the accident happened in Khar (Mumbai) at around 9 pm. Dilip's car rammed into an auto rickshaw, thereby injuring the passengers, Jenita Gandhi and Gaurav Singh. The passengers have also alleged that the actor fled from the spot soon after the incident. After the two walked up to his car, the actor started arguing and pushed them. Due to this they called the Khar police, who reached the spot on time.

"We noted down the number of the car. Meanwhile, Mr. Tahil started arguing and pushed us. Mr. Chugh called the police and a team from Khar police station reached the spot, and took all of us to the station,” Gandhi said in a statement. Talking about Tahil, he was was booked for rash and negligent driving under the IPC and for driving under the influence of alcohol under the Motor Vehicles Act.An inspector from the Khar police station also revealed that the 65-year old refused to give his blood sample. The actor has been granted bail though. On the professional front, he was last seen in a TV show named Razia Sultan, which aired on &TV and Ghorban Mohammadpour's Salaam Mumbai.
